A 475 km race from Pune-Shaniwar Wada to Mumbai Gate Way of India was organized in 1997 to mark the completion of 50 years of Indian independence. A consortium of 10 runners, a total of 300 such runners participated in this race. The race was completed in 4 days. The history of completing a distance of 137 km in one day was created in this race. This venture made Kreeda Bharati’s identity in the sports world.
